Exam Certificates
Collecting your certificates
A Level, GCSE, Level 2 Applied Diploma units, Level 3 and Level 4 Full Diplomas/Certificates, and Extended Project exam certificates for Summer 2025 exams will be available later in the Autumn Term (December). These will be posted to your home address free of charge by the college. Please ensure your address details are accurate. If your address has changed or requires updating, contact Student Services at your earliest convenience: studentservices@longroad.ac.uk.
Students can authorise somebody else to collect certificates on their behalf. To do this, please email exams@longroad.ac.uk with the name of the person who will be collecting the certificates. The nominated person must bring photographic ID of themselves when they come to collect the certificates.
You must bring official photographic ID with you when collecting certificates.
Certificates can be collected by appointment only. Please email exams@longroad.ac.uk to arrange collection
Request for Proof of Examination Results (2024 or earlier)
Students who require proof of their examination results for the 2024 series or any earlier series may request a confirmation letter from the college. Please email the Exams Department with the following details:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth
- Email address of your higher education institution or employer (if applicable)
Note: This letter is not a substitute for your official certificates.
An administration fee applies for this service. Please visit the online Exam Shop to make the payment.
As part of this service, we will make every effort to locate your original certificates and post them to your preferred address. We cannot guarantee that we still have your certificates on file. In accordance with JCQ policy, Centres may destroy any unclaimed certificates by a secure method (e.g., shredding or incineration) after holding them for 12 months from the date of issue.
Replacing lost certificates
The college cannot replace lost certificates. If you lose an examination certificate and need to replace it, Awarding Bodies have information on how to do this on their website. In some cases, they will provide a certifying statement rather than a certificate, but in either case a fee is payable to provide the replacement.
If you are trying to replace a certificate you achieved while studying at Long Road, you may be asked to provide our centre number (22151) and your candidate number or unique candidate identifier (UCI). If you cannot remember these numbers, please email exams@longroad.ac.uk providing your full name, date of birth and the dates you studied with us, and we will then send back any relevant information we still hold. Please note that we no longer retain examination records prior to 2020 on our systems.
