GCSES EXPLAINED
Transition Year: GCSE Programme
This one-year programme enables you to build the foundations to allow you to succeed on a Level 3 study programme. The programme includes tutorial support and the development of study skills. Expectations to achieve success in the year will be high, with the college expecting you to demonstrate your commitment to the Transition Year through high attendance and achievement.

Minimum Entry Requirements
3 GCSEs at Grade 4 including GCSE English Language.
Students enroling on this programme who have not achieved Grade 4 in GCSE English and/or GCSE Maths must retake these qualifications as part of their study programme.
Your Future
The GCSE Transition Year Programme gives you the opportunity to boost your GCSE grade profile, allowing you to progress onto Level 3 study, apprenticeships and employment with training. Many students progress to Level 3 study at Long Road.
