Babraham Institute Annual Schools Day 30th Anniversary
Yesterday, Long Road Biology students visited the Babraham Institute to take part in the Annual Schools’ Day event!
They spent the morning learning about a group of enzymes called phosphatases that are important in the regulation of cellular processes. They were given 3 mystery enzyme samples and carried out two different experiments to identify the correct functioning enzyme. Students also got the chance to ask questions about careers and listen to a careers presentation.
This year was the 30th anniversary of the Babraham Institute’s Annual Schools Day and a team from local ITV news were filming during the morning. They filmed Long Road students carrying out their practical activities!
